Decoy
Hey there, Can I ask a favor Of you? Just a little one, No effort at all From you. I need you to Get on this plane, You know – The big one, All decked out. It was a gift to me, Something I really Wanted, Free of charge. Except for the cost To refurbish it. The remodel wasn’t Quite finished But I really wanted To ride on the plane. So here I am, In a foreign land, And I’ve been warned Not to get on This plane. Threats, you know. But I want you And all of these others To get on this plane. I’ll sneak away, Everyone will think I’m on this plane, But I’ll be on A different one. Will it put you In danger? Maybe. But not me. What’s your point? It’s unfair to you And to the others On this plane? Who cares? I’ll be safe on A different one. You refuse? Actually, that’s The thing: I’m not asking you. I’ll tell you about it After we land – If your plane lands. Or maybe I’ll wait For some reporter – You, perhaps – To find out On your own. It doesn’t really Matter, As long as I am safe.
